Adapter claims need ownership gates
An agent-runtime adapter can look like a tiny bridge, but adoption changes who owns failures. Before the bridge enters a runtime, ask whether its owner, contract, authority, fallback, verification, feedback, and exit path are visible.

Use only public docs, public repositories, synthetic fixtures, or a local no-network replay. This is a decision gate, not an endorsement.
The seven ownership gates
The adapter says who maintains it, which runtime it targets, and where failure reports should go.
Inputs, outputs, state handoff, and version boundaries are explicit enough to replay.
The adapter names the permissions it needs and the actions it must not take.
There is a safe fallback when the adapter, runtime, model, or external surface changes.
A small public-safe replay can prove the bridge works without borrowing private state.
Failures return through an inspectable issue, log, receipt, or correction route.
Rollback, pinning, disablement, or replacement is cheaper than keeping a broken bridge alive.
